This is a service opportunity at North Oaks Middle School (west side of
Beach Street, just south of Loop 820). The Birdville school district will be hosting a
5 km and 1 mile fun run. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the new track they
received this year and to get students and community members moving and involved
with the school. They need volunteers along the race course to help with simple
first aid or call for help. The event will start at 9:00 AM and finish roughly at noon.
Mr. Jon Norris will be running in the event, if any scout can run faster then him he
will buy you a hot dog or Sonic drink. |
