From Mr. Corona:

We completed the last phase of our mulch fundraiser with the delivery of the bags to all of our customers on Saturday, March 27. In talking to several of the scouts after they had made their deliveries, our customers were impressed with the quality of our products and some of them wished they had bought more than they did. Overall, we sold a total of 7 pallets (420 bags) of mulch this year. We collected $1,570.75 from sales and paid $934.80 for the product. The total profit going to the scout's accounts is $635.95. Congratulations are in order to scout M. Hofstrom for his hard work in selling 92 bags of mulch. Way to go!

There were a few calendar updates today. The first change is that the meeting themes for Monday, April 5 and Monday, April 13, have been swapped. It was decided that it would be better to plan for the Camporee the Monday before. This is the normal scheduling and this was pushed back since the district rescheduled the Camporee. That means that part 2 of the Signaller merit badge will be on Monday, April 5. The other calendar change is to add a trailer cleaning party on Saturday, April 10. We need to go through the tents and chuck boxes and get everything ready to go for Camporee. The time will be 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Mr. Shaw has spent a lot of time and effort building new shelves in the trailer. It is very impressive and if you haven't seen it yet, you need to stop by and check it out. Thank you Mr. Shaw for all your hard work!

They have officially announced the Historical Merit Badge program. I have added links to the official pages for each merit badge. You will find the link in blue text on the Merit Badge List & Troop 4 Counselors page. Please note that due to the size, I have not transferred these to the Troop 4 page. They made scans of the original books, so they are very large. They also included the updated version for 2010. These will not be made available at the scout shop, just the electronic copy on line. For those of you taking the Signaller merit badge from me, you should be practicing your Semephore. Also note that some of the Morse Code characters in the original online manual are NOT the version we will be learning. We will be using International Morse Code. Please use the CW Online site in the earlier email message for learning Morse Code and not these or any other books.

We need more adults to sign up for Camporee. I believe our troop will be officiating the fire building. It is an easy event to run. If you are planning on going, please sign up soon so that we can plan for food and supervision.
