Everyone,

The first annual Troop 4 mulch fundraiser is currently underway. We have partnered with Living Earth Technology to sell their cedar mulch, shredded hardwood bark mulch and also their compost in their standard two cubic foot bags. Our selling prices are designed to be comparable to those offered by local stores with the added advantage that our price will include home delivery which is a selling point the boys need to emphasize. All samples and information regarding this fundraiser were given out on Monday, February 15 to all scouts present and the forms have been posted to the troop 4 website in the forms area. Scouts will need to download the forms, add their information as necessary, print the forms and make copies to help them be successful in their neighborhood selling (parents need to review the forms and decide how much personal information the boys can give out). This fundraiser is strictly voluntary and it is designed to build up the individual scout’s account and help their families pay for their summer camp and/or any other activity the troop may have. The selling period is from February 15 to March 15 and delivery will be on Saturday, March 27 from 7:30 am until we are done. The completed order forms and payment need to be turned in no later than March 15 to Mr. Corona so it is better for the boys to collect the money at the time the orders are taken. Depending on how successful we are at selling the mulch, we will need a lot of help from parents and scouts delivering the product on March 27.

Thanks for all those that have signed up for summer camp. We have to send in a deposit check with the final count by March 15. Those that aren't signed up may not get a slot. It will be up to the camp to determine if there are slots after that. If you haven't signed up, please do so quickly and get your deposit in. I have added $100 deposit amounts and a $50 final payment amount to the Online Payment area. Please use whatever combination of those you need to pay the amount your would like.

The next meeting is a PLC. Please come to help plan the future troop events. Those that have turned in leadership application should be getting a call from the new SPL after he has a chance to go through them. The following meeting will be on Monday, March 1. This is the follow-up troop merit badge college. We also have a parent's meeting that day.
