Everyone,
We have a busy meeting on Monday, February 15, 2010. First we will have the rescheduled
OA elections. 1/2 of the troop must be present to have an elections. Second, we will
have the runoff SPL elections. Currently the troop by-laws require 2/3 of the troop
to be present
to hold the election. This means we need everyone there. Next, we will have patrol
leader elections, so you need to have your patrol present. Lastly, preparation for
the Rocketry Campout will take place. Please join us for this busy meeting.
Current OA members can pay dues and receive a 2010 membership card at this meeting
There will be two service opportunities coming up for those that need
hours and those that just want to help out. The first is Scouting for
Food. This will take place on Saturday, February 27, from 9:00 AM until
about noon. Please wear your normal field uniform (class A) for this
event. This is a chance for those that did not bring any cans of food to
the Court of Honor to help GRACE out. The second service opportunity
will be to help with B. Stricklin's Eagle Scout project. This project will
take place on Saturday, March 13, at Faith Christian School in Grapevine. We will be painting
a classroom. The project will take place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so there are lots
of service hours available.
Currently there are only 9 scouts and 2 adults signed up. We will be sending
in a deposit to Camp Hale very soon to reserve our spots. If you are going
you need to sign up this week!
