Everyone,
Tomorrow, February 1, will be the last day to sign up if you are planning on
eating at the Troop Court of Honor, which takes place in Monday, February 8,
at 6:30 PM. Those that will not be eating can still come of the court of honor. The
menu this time will be tacos, chalupas, chips, drinks and cake. The cost and
sign up form are on the calendar.
We will also be collecting cans for the yearly Scouting for Food event. Please get
donations from your neighbors and bring the can to the Court of Honor. The food will
be donated to the GRACE food pantry in Grapevine. If the troop turns in 1,000 cans
we will have cookies and brownies at a troop meeting in March.
On Saturday, February 6, 2010, the National Scouting Museum in Irving will be
hosting a 100 years of scouting birthday parting from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission
is $1.00. The first 100 visitors will receive a commemorative patch. There will
be some prizes awarded and cake.

SPL speeches will take place at the next meeting on Monday, February 1. Those that have been
nominated please come prepared to leave us spell bound with your oratory
excellence. This meeting is also the last night to complete merit badges and rank advancements
that you would like presented at next weeks Court of Honor. Those that have a board of
review for Star or Life will need an Individual History report. Please send me note or
call Mr. Barker to have one printed out for you.
