Everyone,
I have some information from Juan Corona for those that are going to Laser Quest
tomorrow night. Those that are participating need to be at Laser Quest by 11:55 PM
on Friday, December 18, 2009. The address for Laser Quest is 7601 Blvd. 26 N, Richland Hills,
TX 76180. This is about a block south of Loop 820 on Hwy 26. Troop 4 will have a
separate room for our guys to take breaks and put all their stuff in. Sleeping
is NOT recommended but guys can do so if they choose. Participants are welcome to bring
drinks and/or snacks. The event is open to the general public, so there will be
non-Troop 4 participants, however, Troop 4 is guaranteed to play every other
game. Parents need to pick up their participants by 6:00 AM on Saturday morning
at Laser Quest. All participants that have not paid the troop need to bring money
to pay Laser Quest directly when they show up. Those that have paid the Troop already will
be covered by the check the troop will write. Parents, please expect to have a bunch of
really tired scouts on Saturday. :)
The next troop meeting will be on Monday, January 4, 2010. There have been multiple updates
to the calendar through April, so feel free to look at what is coming up. There are open
registrations for the Electronics campout and open house (January), the rocketry campout
(February) and the District Camporee (April).
I know that it is still many months away, but it is time to start signing up for
summer camp. The first deposit will be due in February. We need to get an accurate count
for Camp Hale to reserve our space. Please sign up soon. Look for the Summer Camp Hale
link in the left hand navigator and the sign up page on the July calendar.
Have a great time off for the holidays. We will see you in 2010!
