Everyone,
Hello everyone, sorry for not getting this out sooner. There just hasn't been any
free time this week.
Journey to Bethlehem is being held at Memorial Baptist through December 7. The times
for tomorrow and Sunday are 5:30 - 9:00 PM and Monday it is from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. I
recommend going as early as possible. If you have never been, I can tell you that it
is worth your time to go. If you can make it, please look for Toby Freyou and let
him know you are with the Boy Scouts. The church works hard to put this on every
year and there is no cost. Thanks to those that helped clean up the area around
the bridge in the back to make the setting look nice. More information can be
found on the
church website.
All money from the sale of popcorn is due on Monday, December 7. Please have the
money for Mr. Glen. We will have to write a check to the council for our share of
the popcorn costs.
Also on Monday night is the Venturing Crew / Sea Scout interest meeting. This is
for all the youth in the 8th grade and up. You are welcome to bring a friend or two
that might also be interested. We will meet downstairs after the pledge. Parents are
also encouraged to attend.
Mr. Gonzales will be leading the last part of the electronics merit badge at the
same meeting. You should have your assignments from the last email message.
The event at Laser Quest is still on. There is a public lock-in that night, which
means we don't have to have the required 30 paid folks. The troop will still cover
the cost for adults that want to participate, but there will not be a charge for
adults that just go to chaperone. The troop will be able to play in every other
game from midnight to 6:00 AM, Saturday, December 19. Please meet at Laser Quest
at 15 minutes before midnight on Friday, December 18. The troop will write a check
for those that have paid before that date, everyone else will be responsible to
pay Laser Quest directly that night. The troop will get one of the birthday rooms
to hang out and keep stuff during the night.
The new dates for the electronics campout and the Webelos Open House have been
confirmed by the church. They are Friday evening and Saturday January 8 and 9. We
will meet at the church at 6:00 PM on Friday and should be done by 3:00 - 4:00 PM
on Saturday. I will copy over the current signups to the new date on the
calendar. If you had signed up and will not be able to attend on the new dates,
please fill out the form to have yourself removed. New signups will also be
accepted.
