Everyone,
I apologize for not getting this out sooner. There hasn't been much extra time
lately. On Saturday, November 21, from 9:00 AM until about 11:00 AM there is a
service opportunity for the scouts. We have volunteered to help the church clean
up around a bridge in the back of the property. They are getting ready for the
annual Journey to Bethlehem event and we are going to help make the
property look good. The
church gives us a nice place to meet and this is a way to show our appreciation.
Scouts will get service time as well as being able to count this as a non-troop
meeting night activity which is needed to go towards second class and first class
rank requirements. Please meet at the front of the sanctuary and bring some
work gloves.
For those that are working on the Electronics merit badge, here is some information
from Mr. Gonzales:
Continue working on the circuit at home following the instructions posted
here. The instructions have been
edited and your circuit will work. Also do requirement 6: Search the internet for
jobs in the Electronics field and look for job openings, job offers, for these
positions, that will tell you what type of training is required. Remember, the more
you do you your own, the faster we can finish the merit badge.
As as reminder we are off on Monday, November 23, for Thanksgiving break. Enjoy the
time off with your families. The following Monday, November 30, will be a PLC
for planning upcoming events. The next normal troop meeting will be December 7 and there
will also be the Sea Scout/Venturing Crew interest meeting for youth, 8th grade and up and
their parents that night.
