Everyone,
Jeff Carter has been working hard to get the site setup for online payments. Effective
immediately, you can pay for events such as campouts, recharter fees and popcorn buy outs
online from the Troop 4 web site. Just click
Online Payment
in the left hand navigator. This system uses Paypal and you can use credit cards or your
existing Paypal account. At this time, the zip line campout and Philmont payments
are not available. It is very important to put in the name of the person you are paying
for. If you have multiple scouts and are paying for one event, put in the first name and
push the add to cart button, then enter the second name and hit the add to cart button
again. The troop does still take checks. This was added for your
convenience.
Starting January 1, 2010, the cost for regular campouts will increase from $25 to $30. The
margin on campouts this year has been very narrow. These fees cover the normal campout costs
as well as the replacement of troop equipment and things like Propane for the stoves. The
cost for council events will also go up and will probably be around $35. This was voted on at
Tuesday's committee meeting.
The University of Scouting adult training will take place on November 14, 2009. Those not
attending the Zipline event should consider attending if you still need some training. There
are over 140 classes available. You can see the selections by creating a free account
at the InteliScout Web Pate.
The cost is $20 per scouter, this includes lunch, up to 6 classes and a name tag.
Registration is online at the inteliScout web page.
At the November 16 troop meeting, there will be a parents meeting. This meeting will cover adult
participation and supervision. All parents are strongly encouraged to be there.
