Everyone,
There are a few calendar changes to let you know about:
First, we were originally scheduled to be off on Monday, August 31, since
it is the 5th Monday of the month. However, since the following Monday is a
holiday, we decided at the last meeting to go ahead and meet. This will be
the last meeting before the court of honor. If you need a board of review,
we will be able to do them for you. Those that need a board of review for
Life or Star need to get Mr. Barker to print out and individual advancement
report before Monday. If you need to complete a merit badge to receive it
at the court of honor, this is the last meeting to get that done. Please
get with you counselor to make sure they can meet with you and come prepared.
Those that started the Personal Management merit badge with Mrs. Barker, your
13 week budget should be done and you can complete the work. Those that went
to NASA only have 2 easy requirements to complete to finish Space Exploration.
Second, the court of honor has been moved to Thursday, September 10, at 6:30 PM. Please see
the calendar for updates and to sign up. If you had previously signed up and now cannot
attend, please fill out the form to be removed.
The leadership campout has been postponed until sometime in the spring. Instead we
are adding a PLC instead of the last meeting of the month, like normal. This will be
a little bit longer than normal as we plan major events for the next year.
Although take order popcorn sales haven't started, online ordering has. This is a good
way to ask for popcorn sales from folks that don't live in the area. To sign up, go to the
Trails-End web site. At the top right corner select
the 'create an account'. Once you have gone through the process you can send e-mails to
people who will then purchase on-line. The selections online are not the same as the
take order forms. If someone makes a purchase using the URL you get after registration,
you and the troop will get credited with the sale and the product will be shipped straight
to the buyer.
