Everyone,
Mr. Carter has been busy adding event photos to the web site. To see what is
available, click on Photos in the left-hand navigator and then choose the
year you would like. Once you select the year you want, then click on the
event. After the thumbnails appear, click on a thumbnail to see a larger
picture. If you would like the full size version, click the All Sizes link right
above the picture, then click the Download the Larger Size link.
If any adults need CPR training to keep current on one of your certifications,
please send me a note. There should be a class coming up soon that a friend
with Troop 168 is setting up.
The Roadrunner district is hosting a Trainer's EDGE training session on Saturday,
August 8, from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM at the council office. This is designed to
help Scouters understand the EDGE training model. The cost is $15. Please
see Mrs. Barker if you could like a registration form.
We still need many more folks to sign up for M. Purdy's Eagle Project - Part 2 and
R. Shafer's Eagle Court of Honor. Please sign up soon so that proper planning
can be done.
I have added several new events that are available for signup through the end of the
year. Here is the list of new items:
September 11-13: Fall District Canoe Race at Worth Ranch
September 25-27: Leadership Campout probably at Hills and Hollows
October 16-18: Score-O Orienteering Competition at Sid Richardson
November 13-15: Zip Line Campout in Austin. This is still being arranged and is
subject to change.
December 11-12: Electronics Campout/Cub Scout Open House
December 18: Laser Quest Lock-in. We have to have at least 30 scouts signed up
for this event to take place.
Since some of these event are still being planned, they are subject to change. The recharter
and popcorn dates on the calendar are also subject to change. They were based on 2008
dates.
I will be out next week. If you have any urgent web site updates, please send a note to
Jeff Carter.
THANKS! |
