Everyone,
We still have 2 slots available for the NASA trip. This can either be 1 scout and
1 adult or 2 scouts. Please let me know as soon as you can today if you would
like to go.
You only need to bring your yellow Troop 4 t-shirts on the NASA trip; please bring
one for each day. The regular Boy Scout uniform is not needed. Please see
the list of items to bring and not bring on the roster page.
A PLC is scheduled for the next meeting on July 27. All scouts with a leadership
position are expected to be there, however, any scout is welcome. The next
regular troop meeting will be on August 3. The parent's meeting on August 3 will
be to plan for the next court of honor on Monday, September 14. The SPL speeches
listed for August 3 will be rescheduled closer to the court of honor.
R. Shafer's Eagle court of honor has been scheduled for Saturday, August 22, at
11:00 AM in the Hangar. There will be a barbecue lunch served after the ceremony.
If you are planning on attending, please sign up on the web so that we can get an
accurate count for seating and food.
M. Purdy's Eagle Project, part 2, is schedule for Saturday August 15 from 8:30 AM
until after lunch. A lot of participants, including all scouts and adults, are
needed for this part of the project. When you sign up, please list in the comments
if you can bring tools and equipment such as wheel barrows, rakes, shovels, chain
saws, and tree trimming equipment. Long pants and a long sleeve shirt are recommended
since poison ivy has been seen in the area. Water will be provided along with
pizza for lunch.
