Everyone,
This weeks meeting will cover session 2 of the Personal Management merit badge with
Mrs. Barker. Please come with your assignments complete.
There are two new calendar entries for July and August for M. Purdy's Eagle
Scout Project. Part 1 will be this next Saturday, July 18, from 8:30 AM until a
little after lunch. This part of the project will be to build 2 park benches. This
part of the project will involve the use of multiple power tools, so adults and
older scouts are preferred. Pizza and water will be provided. Everyone will meet at
the shop for Service Support Solutions, a link to the map is provided on the calendar.
on the calendar. Part 2, will be held on Saturday, August 15, also from 8:30 AM until
after lunch. This part will involve creating a hiking trail through thick brush and
clearing a sitting area for the benches made in part 1. A few adults that can bring
and like to play with chains saws are greatly welcome, but there will be plenty of
work for other adults as well as any age scouts. Pizza and water will also be
available.
Wednesday is the deadline to pay the balance for the NASA trip. It would probably be
easier to bring the money to tomorrow's meeting. The trip leaves on Saturday, July
25, at before 9:00 AM. Please be at the church at 8:30 AM. A list of items to bring
and not to bring are listed on the roster page for this event.
Due to a change in schedule for a couple of our folks, we now have openings for 1
adult and 1 scout. If you didn't have a chance to sign up before and would
still like to go, please send me a note and you can take the extra slots.
