Everyone,

I received word last night that we have to pay for the summer camp bus on Monday, May 25, 2009. So we need everyone that is going to camp to pay for their transportation before that date. We will not have a meeting on May 25 due to Memorial Day. The payment can be dropped by or mailed to my house or to Jeff Booth's house. Addresses will be provided in the email. Right now the troop does not have enough funds to cover the cost of the bus.

Since we could not find a location for this weekends campout, the event has been changed to a one day event and will be held out the church. We will still do rank advancement items. The event will run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. There will be 3 meals as part of this event so that several scouts can meet the cooking requirements for the various ranks. Scouts that sign up are expected to attend the whole day if possible. The cost of the event was lowered to $15 since we will have 2 less meals than we would have had for a full campout. Scouts that need to get in their 5 mile hike will need to bring walking shoes or hiking boots, a water bottle, compass, small personal first aid kit and a rain poncho. We will do the hike in the morning while it is cooler. All scouts need to bring their Boy Scout Handbook. Meet at the new trailer location. If it rains, we will be using The Hangar (youth center at the back of the church).

Monday is the deadline to sign up and pay the deposit for the July NASA trip.

June 1 is the deadline for having summer camp medical forms turned in. You can find the new version on the web site under Forms -> Medical Forms -> New Annual Health and Medical Form, or by clicking here. This form is required by ALL scouts and adults going to camp this year, even if you already have a medical form on record.
