Everyone,

I have a few reminders for every one. Please read ALL these announcements.

This Sunday, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM is Scouting for Food. Scouts will just be dropping on flyers on doors in our assigned neighborhood. There are only 5 scouts signed up so far and it will taken them a really long time to drop off the bags without more help. The food that will be collected on Saturday, February 14 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM will be donated to Grace in Grapevine.

Summer Camp Deposits should be made this Monday. There are only 12 scouts and 2 adults signed up. We have many more vote to go to Gorham. The down payment checks and an accurate count are due at the end of this week. If you are going to camp, you need to sign up ASAP and get a check turned in. We still have not had a volunteer to coordinate our reservation with the camp. This needs to be an adult who will be going. Mr. Booth has done it the last few years and can explain what needs to be done if you are interested.

Part 2 of K. Cureton's eagle project will be Saturday, February 14, at the same time as the Scouting for Food pickup. We need folks to sign up for both and help out. Both of these will count towards service hours and well as non-troop meeting events needed for the ranks of Second Class and First Class.

We will be having a special meeting on February 16, for all scouts and at least one parent in the Hangar (the youth center at the back of the church building). The committee has noticed a trend in society that we would like to address. We will have a special guest speaker to talk about the ramifications that could occur and the we will discuss the troop's position on how to combat the situation. This is not a mandatory meeting, however, not attending will not be an excuse for the rules not to be followed. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM as usual and should be done in about 45 minutes.

February 16, is also the deadline for signing up and paying for the March Court of Honor. The space has to be reserved and paid for that week, so please sign up if you are going.
