Everyone,
There have been some last minute calendar changes to let you know about.
The church asked if we could have some boys at the 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM services this
Sunday to present the flags. We need at least 4 boys and two adults to be there in
full Class A uniforms. Due to the shortness of the time, we need to have a count by
this Wednesday, October 29, 2008, of everyone that can make it. This will give a few
days notice to the church for their planning. You will find the sign up sheet on the
calendar.
The Archeology campout that was planned for November 16, 2008, has been postponed. This is
because the boys at the PLC voted to attend the Council Camporee that was scheduled for
that same weekend. The cost is the same $25 per scout, if you register by November 6.
After that date, the price changes to $30 per scout. The adult leaders are discussing
the cost for adults. The council will be charging the same price for adults and scouts.
Popcorn pickup will be on November 8. The calendar will be updated with the time and
location for the pickup soon.
Also on November 8, we will be meeting from 1:00 - 4:00 PM
at the church to get the trailer ready for the Council Camporee. All patrol leaders,
assistant patrol leaders and quartermasters are expected to be there.
Don't forget to bring your crushed aluminum cans to any meeting. We will store them in the
small trailer until it is time to cash them in. Please collect from your schools, work,
family and neighbors.
