Everyone,

Here are a few troop news items to tell you about:

We will be cleaning out the Troop 4 trailer to prepare for the Leadership campout on September 19. Many items were moved to the smaller trailer to make room for all the summer camp equipment. This is a good opportunity to clean and organize. We will start about 9:00 AM and should easily be done by 11:00 AM depending on the amount of help. Several adults are needed for this project.

Due to Hurricane Ike, J. Lippert's Eagle Project car wash fundraiser has been postponed one week until Sunday, September 21, 2008. It was determined that having a car wash in the rain may not be the best idea. They can still use more participation.

There is still time to sign up for the Leadership campout. This is required for scouts that hold troop leadership positions, but any of our scouts are welcome to attend.

I talked to Vince Dorsey last night and there are still about 6 more slots available for the aviation merit badge at Alliance Airport. Please see the August 25 email for more information.

Please remember to bring your compass if you will be working on the Orienteering merit badge at the next meeting.
