Everyone,

There will be a parents meeting on Monday, June 23, 2008, to discuss the summer camp plans for 2009. We need all parents to attend to help with the discussion of the options.

We have a couple of part-time, volunteer, adult positions that we need help fulfilling. The first is for a popcorn sales coordinator. This position helps coordinate getting popcorn forms to the scouts, collecting and compiling the orders and placing the orders with the council. Shiryl Thompson will be working on it again this year, but this will be her last year. Shiryl will need a two volunteers to help her out that can take over in 2009. Training will be provided on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at he Hurst scout office. The second position we need help with is the coordinating food for the court-of-honors twice a year. Linda Mitchell has been doing this for several years and we need someone to take over. Linda will be working on the food for the next court-of-honor in September, but help will be needed. Normally we cater food in, however, we could also do a pot luck. If you are willing to help with either of these positions, please come to the next parents meeting. 2 - 3 volunteers are needed.

There are a number of Eagle projects coming up that we need help with. These count as service hours and will count as non-Monday night events that scouts working on Second Class and First Class need. See the calendar for dates and sign up links.

Also, we still need volunteers for the July 6 flag ceremony at Memorial Baptist. Check the calendar to sign up. This will also count as service time and a non-Monday night event.

VIEW THE ROSTER		 Church at the Cross We need 6 scouts (4 in ceremony and 2 backups) and 2 adults to lead a flag ceremony during  the patriotic church service.  Those attending will be expected to remain at the service until it is over. This is a full Class A uniform event. Meeting time 9:30 A.M.
